State of the art replication facilities ensure unbeatable delivery times, with runs ranging from 1000 - 250,000 having a turn around time of under ten days. For delivery timescales of larger quantities, please contact us.

Let us give you a brief description of the replication process. The binary code on the completed CD is input to a computer which checks the integrity of the data and then a laser is aimed at a blank glass "target." The glass "target" is a platter of optically pure glass (click here for the full glass mastering process). When CD-ROM Replication takes place, the laser etches the platter of 0s and 1s (binary code) as small "pits" and "no pits" (also known as lands) on the light sensitive coating.

After this takes place, the glass platter is chemically developed and hardened. The result is a glass master, which is placed in an electroplating system which then deposits nickel on its surface. The resulting metal, which is called a "father" is removed and new generations are grown from this to produce a thin round sheet. This thin round sheet is the production "stamper" which is used to mold the CDs after they have been replicated.

There are constantly new developments in Laser Beam Recorders and Electron Beam Recorders, which help refine and shorten the process. All CDs whether they have been replicated or not have an inert protective coating that is applied to the top surface. On top of this surface, various label prints can be applied. Paper labels that are applied to this surface are called "on-disc" print.

It's worth noting that the signal of an injection molded disc is much stronger than that of a CD which is "burned" instead of replicated. The data is also more resistant to damage, which insures a longer life of the CD. Also after the injection molding is completed, an in-line inspection is done to ensure that the disk has been made perfectly.

All quantities exceeding 1000 CDs will be replicated which means they will be manufactured using a glass master. For smaller quantities we recommend the duplication method using Impactdisk rewritable with digital or screen print and a high gloss label, for more details click here.

All data should be supplied on CD ROM, by Email or FTP. Please do not include artwork for cards or packaging on the same cd or in the same file if using electronic transfer. Ensure that you read your proof carefully as after the glass master has been manufactured even the smallest change will require a complete new master, which carries a surcharge.
